HDFS Research Project
As the sole researcher, I designed and conducted a semester-long study on the effects of mindfulness exercises on elementary student behavior at Carrboro Elementary School. My responsibilities included creating and distributing Google Forms surveys, conducting interviews, collecting and organizing student data in spreadsheets, and presenting findings. This 335-hour project resulted in measurable reductions in student testing anxiety.

An asynchronous instructional module designed for K-6 teachers, built in Articulate Rise 360. Using What Works Clearinghouse (WWC) evidence-based guidelines, this course walks educators through research-backed strategies for teaching fraction comparison, addressing common student misconceptions, and using visual models to build lasting number sense and conceptual understanding.

CRPL Typing Program
This project aimed to reinforce typing focused curriculum while aiming to improve reading comprehension through the Culturally Relevant Personalized Learning Framework. This project was an intensive and thorough review of the made curriculum. Using figma to create different pathways and visualizations, reasonings behind adoption start to exist.

LifeLab
I independently designed LifeLab as a course project, developing the concept, branding, and prototype from scratch. The tool targets the performance gap between lower and higher performing students by integrating STEM and Family and Consumer Science curriculum. I led multiple rounds of user testing, collected feedback data, and iterated on the MVP based on results.

OnPar
OnPar is a reading comprehension tool I individually prototyped, aimed at reigniting student interest in reading through AI-generated books, avatars, and assessments. I designed the user experience, built the prototype, and incorporated the CRPL Framework to ensure culturally relevant and personalized learning pathways for diverse student populations.

Career path is another tool that aims to connect high school graduates or professionals that want to make a job switch with the proper pathway and resources necessary to do so. Using figma, mockups and prototypes were created of this tool while simultaneously displaying tools provided.
